MAMLUK, Chestnut stallion, *2008 (Status/Madiazka). Owner and breeder: KFH “Ajaz” Azhar Farm. Strain: Kehailan Moradi (Sahara ca. 1840)
Kazakhstan is pleased to announce the winner of their 2012 WAHO Trophy, the chestnut stallion Mamluk. In the year 2007, his dam Madiarks was sent to Russia to be covered by one of the most promising young Russian stallions, Status (Sarkazm/Svita), who had an excellent racing career. Between the age of 2 and 4 years he raced 20 times with 10 victories, including the Moscow Derby, Great All Russian prize, and many others.
The lovely dam of Mamluk, Madiarka, was bred at Tersk and traces on the female line to the world-famous mare Monogramma. Madiarka is the daughter of the best Russian race horse for decades, and well known sire, Drug (Prizrak/Karinka) out of the excellent broodmare Mamba (Balaton/Maltuka).
Mamluk himself is a good looking stallion with excellent movement and even though he is still quite young, he is already competing under saddle in equestrian sports.
