We are very sorry to inform you that John Kettlewell passed away on 18 January 2006 after a short illness. A former and long-serving President of the Arab Horse Society of South Africa, John was a highly valued founder member of the WAHO Executive Committee, and the WAHO Treasurer for many years.
After his retirement from active involvement on the Executive Committee, John retained regular contact with WAHO, he was always interested in our activities and we were proud to have him as an Emeritus Member of the Executive Committee.
A respected judge and an acclaimed breeder, together with his beloved late wife Margaret, of quality Arabians bearing the well-known "Jerico" prefix, John gave so much to the international world of the Arabian horse in so many ways during his long life, which he lived to the full. He was a much loved father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather, and all of us at WAHO extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him
A longer and more detailed Obituary will appear here in due course.
